Vintage Style Folio Album with Stamperia’s “Old Lace” Collection
This folio album is inspired by the elegance of vintage design and features Stamperia’s timeless “Old Lace” collection. I wanted to create a piece that feels nostalgic and romantic, with textures and patterns that evoke the charm of old-world lace and aged fabrics.
Materials & Cover Design
For the covers, I used sturdy greyboard to give the album a durable and substantial feel, which I then covered with kraft paper to add a warm, vintage base. The neutral tones of kraft paper beautifully complement the “Old Lace” collection’s delicate patterns, enhancing the album’s antique aesthetic.
Interior Layout
The album’s interior is divided into two main panels, each designed to hold memories uniquely:
- Waterfall Panel for Photos
On the left panel, I’ve created a classic waterfall feature, ideal for holding multiple photos. This style is perfect for adding snapshots without overwhelming the design, allowing each photo to be flipped through easily. - Opening Panel with Pocket
The right panel opens up to reveal additional layers of design and functionality. Behind the main opening panel, there’s a pocket that provides extra storage for keepsakes, notes, or even more photos. This pocket feature adds both visual interest and practicality, making it easy to tuck away special mementos while keeping everything organized.
Design Details
Throughout the album, I layered papers and added embellishments from the “Old Lace” collection to bring depth and a soft, textured look to each page. The earthy brown and cream tones of the collection, along with intricate floral and lace patterns, create a sense of vintage elegance that I absolutely adore.
This folio album is a perfect keepsake for anyone who loves vintage-inspired crafts or wants a unique way to store memories.
