Trying Something New with My Simon Says Stamp Order – Arch Shaped Card
Hi crafty friends!
Today, I’m sharing something a little different from my usual style. I recently placed an order with Simon Says Stamp, and I couldn’t wait to dive into the new goodies and try out some techniques I don’t normally reach for.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I usually love pattern papers, layers, lots of embellishments, and 3D flowers (whether paper or fabric). But this time, I decided to take a step outside my comfort zone—and I’m so glad I did! Watch my video to see what I’ve ordered and how I used new products:
For this card, I created a stamped background with a gorgeous crackle effect, then built my floral arrangement using die-cut and inked white cardstock. The poinsettia-style flowers and greenery came to life with inking and shading, and I love how much dimension and detail they have without being bulky. A little gold sparkle in the flower centres finished the card off beautifully.

It’s definitely different from my usual layered and embellished designs, but I love the fresh and clean look it gives. Sometimes, it’s so refreshing to try a new approach, and I feel like this opened up a whole new set of possibilities for my cardmaking!

💌 I’d love to know what you think—should I keep experimenting with more stamping, inking, and die-cutting techniques? Or do you prefer my classic layered and embellished style?

You can watch the full video [link to video] where I unbox my Simon Says Stamp order and create this card step by step.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Happy crafting, Emilia x
