Elegant Handmade Gift Box with Paper Flowers | Elizabeth Craft Designs Video Tutorial
There’s something extra special about giving a handmade gift, and creating a beautiful box makes the present inside even more memorable. In my latest video tutorial for Elizabeth Craft Designs, I’m sharing how to make this elegant gift box, decorated with dimensional handmade paper flowers and layered die-cut details.
This project is perfect for birthdays, weddings, Mother’s Day, thank you gifts, or any special occasion. Best of all, you can easily customize it to suit any colour palette or theme.
A Beautiful Gift Presentation
For this project, I created a slim gift box using Elizabeth Craft Designs cutting dies and decorated it with a floral arrangement made entirely from coordinating ECD dies. I also used beautiful Elizabeth Craft Designs patterned papers to create soft, elegant layers that perfectly complement the handmade flowers.
The layered flowers become the focal point of the design, adding wonderful dimension and making the gift box feel truly one of a kind.

Endless Customisation
One of my favourite things about this project is how versatile it is. By simply changing the papers and flower colours, you can create a completely different look for any occasion.
Try making your box for:
- Birthdays
- Weddings
- Baby showers
- Mother’s Day
- Christmas
- Easter
- Thank you gifts
- Party favours
The possibilities are endless!

While I was making the flowers to decorate the box, I made more to put inside the box 🙂

Perfect for Small Gifts
This decorative gift box is just the right size for holding small presents such as:
- Gift cards
- Jewellery
- Chocolates
- Handmade treats
- Small keepsakes
- Craft supplies
The recipient gets not only a thoughtful gift but also a beautiful handmade box they can keep and reuse.

I hope this tutorial inspires you to create your own handmade gift boxes and experiment with different colours, themes, and floral arrangements. If you make one, I’d love to see your version—be sure to share it and tag me so I can admire your beautiful creations!
Happy crafting!
