Create Stunning Cards with a Large Focal Point – Featuring Stamperia Hidden Grove
Hello, crafty friends! ✂️✨
I’m so excited to share my latest video tutorial with you! In this project, we’ll be creating a beautiful handmade card featuring a large focal point—a design technique that makes your card pop while keeping the process fun and easy! This is a perfect way to create multiple stunning cards with minimal effort.

And the best part? We’re using the brand-new Stamperia Hidden Grove collection—a dreamy, whimsical set full of magical woodland elements, rich textures, and gorgeous vintage-inspired illustrations. 🌿🐸

Why a Large Focal Point?
Using a big, eye-catching element as the main focus of your card makes crafting easier while giving your design a polished, professional look. Whether it’s a charming steampunk frog (like in my card!), an elegant floral cluster, or a bold sentiment, this technique allows you to create multiple unique cards with the same process.
What You’ll Need:
- Stamperia Hidden Grove paper collection
- Card base (mine is 6×6 inches)
- Inks
- Foam tape for dimension
- Die-cuts and embellishments
- White splatters for a magical effect ✨
Step-by-Step Process:
1️⃣ Choose Your Focal Point: I selected this frog and mushroom house from the Hidden Grove collection. Look for a large, detailed image that will be the star of your card!
2️⃣ Layer Your Background: Use coordinating patterned papers to create a soft, layered effect. I added distressed edges and ink blending to give it a vintage touch.
3️⃣ Add Dimension: Raise your focal image with foam tape for a 3D effect. This simple trick makes your card more dynamic and visually interesting!
4️⃣ Embellish & Detail: Add small elements like gears, leaves, or fussy-cut flowers to enhance the theme. Don’t forget a sentiment—I used With Love and Happiness in little things to keep it versatile.
5️⃣ Finishing Touches: A few paint splatters, pearls, or sequins can add the final magical touch to your design!

Make It Your Own!
The best part of this technique is that you can replicate it with different focal images! Try using other elements from the Hidden Grove collection or mix and match with other themes.
