Shabby chic card with a mailbox.
For this project, I created a card using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, with the mailbox as the main focal point. I immediately fell in love with this die—it’s detailed, versatile, and perfect for building layered designs that feel a little bit magical.

Instead of filling the mailbox only with envelopes, I decided to add some unexpected elements. Along with the mail, I tucked in a small bottle filled with plants and a tiny potted plant. These little details make the card feel unusual and playful, almost like the mailbox is delivering a secret garden rather than letters.

For the background, I used papers from Stamperia, which add a soft, vintage feel and lots of visual texture. The mailbox itself was die cut from green cardstock from my stash—sometimes the perfect paper is already waiting on your desk.
As with most handmade projects, there was an unplanned moment along the way. I tried to remove one of the paper layers, but it started to tear. Instead of forcing it, I covered it with another sentiment. A happy accident that ended up fitting the design perfectly and added another layer of interest.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope this project inspires you to look at your dies in a new way—and maybe imagine what else could be hiding inside your mailbox. 💌
Happy Crafting!
