Create Elegant Paper Poinsettias – New Video Tutorial!
I’m here to share my latest video tutorial with you—this time we’re making delicate handmade paper poinsettia flowers perfect for holiday cards, winter décor, and all your festive crafting projects!
In the tutorial, I walk you through the full process of creating these soft, dimensional blooms using watercolour paper and the beautiful Elizabeth Craft Designs cutting dies. Watercolour paper is one of my favourite materials for florals because it shapes beautifully, holds texture, and absorbs ink and shading in the most natural way.
To give each poinsettia that magical winter sparkle, I finished some petals with Tim Holtz Chunky Glitter. The texture of this glitter adds just the right amount of frosted shine—like freshly fallen snow on petals. It’s subtle, shimmery, and absolutely perfect for Christmas crafting.

In the video, you’ll learn:
✨ Techniques for adding soft shading to create a realistic look
✨ How I assemble and curl the petals for natural dimension
✨ My method for adding snowy, glittery accents without overwhelming the design

These poinsettias are lovely for:
– Holiday cards
– Scrapbooking layouts
– Gift toppers
– Handmade ornaments
– Winter wedding décor
– Mixed-media projects
I hope you enjoy crafting along with me and find inspiration to create your own beautiful winter florals. Don’t forget to check out the video and share your creations—I’d love to see what you make!
Happy crafting! 🎄✨
