Interactive Steampunk Tag with Turning Gears

When gears start to turn and imagination takes flight, something magical happens on the craft table. My newest project brings the spirit of steampunk to life — an interactive tag with real moving gears.

For the base, I worked with the brand-new Junk Journal Book from the Stamperia Voyages Fantastiques collection. Its vintage designs and mechanical illustrations set the perfect stage for this imaginative piece.

To give you a closer look into the process, I created short video clips that walk through the key stages:

This tag is more than just a decorative piece — it’s interactive, surprising, and a little whimsical. Projects like this remind me why I love exploring steampunk themes: they allow creativity, mechanics, and storytelling to blend together beautifully.
