Mixed Media Tag #4 | Timeless

I created this “Timeless” tag using the gorgeous 49 and Market Faded Memory Lane collection. I love how the distressed background, subtle stamping, and layered ephemera all come together to create a soft vintage feel.

I always like to begin with the background because it sets the mood for the entire piece. I took a piece of old packaging press distress ink into it, diluted it with water, then applied on the tag. For the tag, I use watercolour paper. The effect is always a surprise; you can control it only to some extent. After the colour I added stamping, here and there, quite randomly 🙂 and on the border of the tag.

To decorate it I used pieces from 49 and market – laser cuts, stickers etc.

To make it more interesting, I also added sisal underneath the heart, it gives nice texture.

I finished it off with tape stickers in a light blue color.
