Coffe & Bird Card | Sizzix Mega SALE
This project reflects the little things I love most—and this card is for me 🙂
I started by building a rich, textured background using distress sprays. I love how they create organic blends and subtle splatters, adding depth without overwhelming the composition. Once the background was dry, I die cut a large spotty panel, which instantly gave the piece a beautiful layered look and a bit of a vintage feel.

To build the focal point, I added a tag and a label as my base layers. These elements help ground the composition and give a perfect foundation for the decorative pieces on top.
For the main embellishments, I chose a cosy coffee mug and a sweet little bird, surrounded by delicate flowers and leaves. These aren’t random choices—they represent the things I genuinely love: a good cup of coffee, birds, and nature. I always find that when you design with personal meaning, the final piece feels even more special and authentic.

To tie everything together, I added the sentiment “do what you love.” It perfectly captures the heart of this project and serves as a gentle reminder to embrace the things that bring you joy.
If you’d like to see exactly how this card came together, I’ve prepared a step-by-step reel where I walk you through the entire process—from background creation to the final details.
Also, a little tip for you: the Sizzix cutting dies I used for this project are currently on sale! It’s a great time to grab your favourites or try something new while the big sale is happening.
I hope this card inspires you to create something that reflects your own passions. Whether it’s coffee, nature, books, or anything else—let it shine through your art.
