Floating Pop-Up Christmas Gift Card Holder (and one mistake you don’t want to make)
This project combines a classic Christmas card with a floating pop-up mechanism and a pocket for a gift card.
My card is A2 size, the circle is around 2 3/4″ die cut less than 1″ from the top, in the middle of fron panel. The mechanism is 1×4″ strip scored every 1″, positioned inside the card in the centre, near the scoring line.
After the structure was complete, it was time to decorate. I layered vintage-style Christmas presents – some on the cirlce some on the fron of the card, layered with flowers and greenery. The goal was to add dimension without making the card too bulky, so it still closes neatly.
The final result is a floating pop-up with a place for a gift card —perfect for Christmas gifting.
