Our Little Baby – A Soft & Sweet Nursery Card
After creating my previous baby card with the beautiful Little Dreamer collection by 49 and Market, I felt completely inspired to make another design in a similar soft, layered style. I just love how perfectly this collection captures that gentle, dreamy nursery atmosphere — it’s ideal for welcoming a precious new arrival.

Baby projects are always so special to create. They allow for softness, texture, and gentle storytelling — which I absolutely love.
Building the Scene
For this card, I again focused on creating a dimensional, storybook-like composition. The adorable nursery imagery made it so easy to design a soft focal cluster. The sweet teddy bear and vintage-style pram create such a warm and tender feeling. I love designing baby cards that feel like a tiny nursery scene captured on paper.
Texture & Handmade Details
To keep continuity with my previous design, I incorporated my handmade cotton flowers once again. They add that delicate softness that works so beautifully on baby-themed projects.
The flowers are created from cotton fabric using my Sizzix dies, then shaped and layered for dimension. I tucked them around the focal elements to frame the composition and add balance. A little gauze underneath gives extra texture and keeps everything light and airy.
Finishing Touches
Small details truly make the difference:
- Soft gem stickers for a gentle sparkle
- Layered leaves for added depth
- Subtle splatters and distressing for a vintage feel
- A simple sentiment — “Our Little Baby” — to complete the design
Everything works together to create a soft, cohesive, and heartfelt baby card.
