Moments Like These – Round Card Tutorial

Let’s make a round card! I recently created one using the 49 & Market – Echoes of Time collection. This project was such a joy to make and a little different from my usual card shape, which always feels refreshing!

To create the round base, I used an embroidery hoop as a template—an easy and super effective trick if you don’t have round dies in the exact size you want. I traced the hoop and cut my shape for the card base and one more layer from the 6×8 patterned papers, which worked perfectly for the background and gave me plenty of room to build my design.

For the composition, I layered a mix of laser-cut elements from the collection. The florals, frame, and butterfly add that beautiful, romantic feel. I love how the soft colours and delicate details come together so effortlessly.

To add a little bit of texture and interest, I tucked in a few screw head embellishments, which give a subtle industrial touch and balance the florals nicely. The sentiment, “Moments Like These,” comes from the ephemera pack and fits this design perfectly—it feels timeless and meaningful.

This round card would be perfect for so many occasions—birthdays, thinking-of-you cards, or even as a keepsake piece. I hope it inspires you to try a new shape and play with your supplies in a different way.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting 💕
