Sweet Summer Birthday Card with Ice Cream Treats | Papertrey Ink Tutorial
Today I’m sharing a sweet and cheerful birthday card created for my newest Papertrey Ink tutorial! With summer just around the corner, I couldn’t resist reaching for the adorable ice cream products from the May release and combining them with some favourite older elements to create a soft, feminine birthday design.

The star of this card is a delightful pair of ice cream treats layered from Sweet Americana Die over a delicate die-cut background. I chose a pastel color palette of soft pinks, aqua, and creamy neutrals to give the card a light and whimsical feel. The sweet ice cream cone and popsicle create the perfect focal point, while subtle splatters and dimensional layers add texture and interest throughout the design.

Watch my tutorial and make this card with me:
To create additional depth, I layered the focal images on top of a beautifully detailed Cover Plate: Gathering Florals Die . The intricate panel adds visual interest without overwhelming the main design. A crinkled seam-binding bow finishes everything off with a soft, romantic touch. I also decided to add two little flowers and couple of leaves from Into the Blooms: Pressed Flowers Die set ( I love this set as it has a great selection of flowers and leaves)

For the sentiment is from This is Big Sentiments: Birthday Stamp Set I stamped it on a cream color cardstock, the same I used for the card base. I sprinkled everything with glitter and fossilised amber spritz.

I hope this project inspires you to mix new releases with items already in your stash. Sometimes the most beautiful cards come from combining old favourites with brand-new products!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the full tutorial, and let me know what your favorite detail is on this sweet ice cream birthday card.
Happy crafting! x Emilia
